Boys Boys Boys Boys

29 and 31 January 2010

What a fruitful weekend!!!
I spent it with 2 groups of cutees!
Was at the FT island's fan sign on 29th and SHINee's fan sign on 31st!!!
The guys look really cute n hot in real life!

FT's was held at IMM...din get the $150 tix to watch them at Dragonfly so went to their fan sign to catch a glimpse of them instead of going to the airport to see SHINee...made the right choice coz if i didnt see FT that day, might not get to see them at all...furthermore I like 4 out of the 5 guys there...we got to see them quite close up too! Lucky!

SHINee's fan sign was madness!!! Heard that there was already a big crowd queuing at 11pm on 30th though organiser stated that there should not be any overnight queuing...so we quickly packed our stuff and rushed down to Lot 1 at 12.30am...there was really a huge crowd!...we quickly got into the queue and got the girl to record our names...then it was wait wait n more wait... then the girl wrote down numbers on our left fist to ensure that we were within the 1000 fans who would get an autographed from SHINee...my number was 568!!!...heard that people actually queued since 12 noon and the fan sign in 1.30pm the next day!!!...i couldnt sleep the whole night as we were sitting on the pavement...I prayed very hard that it won't rain or else it would be a huge mess!...luckily it didnt...watched people streaming in throughout the whole night...my original plan was to go at 6am, thank god I didnt because those who went at 5am didnt even get within the 1000...people kept snapping pictures of the queue as the turnout was unexpected!...i think there were about 3000+ fans that day...morning finally came...it was wait wait and more wait again...changing of shifts between the security guards caused some misunderstanding and things turned rough...they let in the fans who came later and were not given any numbers...we were very upset...then a guy came and announced to us that police was handling the case and we are the guaranteed 1000...yeah!...supposed to go in at 9.30am but still nothing yet, at this time we were told to queue in 5s and the girls started speculating who will get which member's signature judging by our position, I told my friend not to be too happy as the people further up the queue were not in 5s...there were 3 girls who came to ask the guy in front of me if he was willing to sell them his queue number and he gave them a very disgusted look...hehe...then finally we were let into the staircase leading up to the roof garden...when we were in the stairwell the lady announced that we would be getting a scratch card and after scratching we would know which member would be signing our album!!! so exciting!!!...before we reached the garden we could already hear girls screaming in excitement after scratching the card...we paid $60 for the album, poster and the scratch card...then when i scratched mine, it was ONEW, a girl already approached me and wanted to exchange with me...knowing that my friend loves him, i held on to my card...then my friend scratched hers, it was TAEMIN!!!...my favourite!!!...we were so damn lucky!...i quickly pulled my friend aside in case someone snatched our cards...we quickly made the exchange...yeah!!!...then we were made to sit down...the place was so confined that the fan sign was like an exclusive event!...those fans who were not in the 1000 had to watch from the outside as a glass panel separated the garden from the mall...when I went to the toilet which was in the mall, as i tried to get back into the garden, i was met by glare and scoldings...they were very jealous!...the emcee spoke to us saying that we were not allowed to take picture when they were signing, sad...and also we had to exit on the left which meant I would pass by Onew only and would not get to see Key, sad...then the moment came, they appeared at 2pm...i tried to take pictures but all I could snap were hands and digicams!!!...most of the shots were blurr...but luckily was able to get a couple of clear shots...i had to tiptoe to see them but was too far to get a good look too...the interview was shallow 'what kind of girls do you like?' duh...then the signing started...i wuickly got into Taemin's queue, cant wait to see him!!!...when i was in the queue, i quickly snapped pictures of min ho, jonghyun and key...din take onew as i thought my friend would be able to do so...anyway there were too many people blocking me...didnt get to get a good pic of key, sad...then it was finally my turn!!!...Taemin is so cute!!!...he is so fair and his skin so flawless...his hair is so nicely-styled...his eyes are so beautiful i can drown in them...and his smile!!! it melted my heart!!!...it was over too soon, I wanted to shake his hand but was afraid that the lady would stop me as we were told no handshakes...though some lucky girls managed to, sad...after 13 hours of wait and sacrificing my sleep, it was worth it! For Taemin, it was worthed it!....

A fruitful weekend indeed...so much eye-candy...and the experience of chasing after idols will be something i will never forget!...

My Birthday!!!

My birthday this year was pretty special too coz I've got special people who spent it with me and for me...

28 February
My frens, Kelvin, Boon and Sally, whom I have known for more than 10 years, celebrated it for me. It was supposed to be a surprise for me but somebody accidentally let the cat out of the bag! Oops! Hehe! Before we met for dinner, Kelvin and I went Bugis to shop for my birthday gifts. They wanted to get me something of their choice but I really do not wish to have them overspend and I would also prefer to receive something I really like so I suggested that I picked my gifts instead! I got two tops which I really really like! Yippee! Then we had Sushi Tei for dinner! Got to eat my favourite ramen n hotate, YUM! We chatted as we ate, it was fun! Sally and Boon had to rush off after dinner. Kelvin and I went to watch a movie at the Cathay. Meiling was there with boyfriend. We didn't watch the same movie but we got to chat before the movies started. Kelvin was very good at 'interviewing' a newcomer very subtlely, clever! Haha! The movie 'Marley & Me' was funny and sad at the same time. Was trying very hard not to cry because afraid that my eye makeup would smudge! Haha! It was a great celebration, got to spend it with a group of really nice and warm friends who understand me the best! Thanks guys, for making my day such a special one!

2nd March
Received alot of gifts from my little friends, those who are closer to me. My close friend, R, without fail gave me my favourite cake, a single slice Choco Exotic from Four Leaves, very yummy. She gave me a card and gifts too. The words in the card were very meaningful, really touched my heart. When I returned to my table, saw a muffin, a stalk of rose amd a card on my table. It was from my company! First time I received something like that from the company, so sweet! MF also gave me a gift, love the box but the gift was a bracelet, not sure if I will dare to wear it. In the meantime, my dad called me to say that my long time friend, CL sent a bouquet, food and a gift to my place. So sweet of her to take the extra effort to send them to me despite her busy schedule. Really love the bouquet, so beautiful. My little friends gave me a surprise at noon. They shared money and bought me a cake! They took the trouble to invite some of my closer friends at work to join us in our little party. So thoughtful of them. Throughout the day I received messages with well-wishes. I even received a call from Australia from S who was once my little friend 8 years ago, very touched indeed. Then at night I spent it with my family. My little niece got to cut the cake for me. She also unwrapped my presents! The gifts were all very practical and useful, love them! What a great day! It was filled with blessings from my loved ones.

5 March
Finally, the wait has ended! His parcel had arrived! Was delighted to see it on my table! Saw his familiar handwriting and my name was mis-spelt, haha! Couldn't wait to open the parcel! Saw a card in it, I read the card first. This year he put in alot of effort in the card. He decorated it with pictures of us and then the words he wrote in it, reminiscing the past, made me feel so melancholic because I felt exactly the same way as he did. Besides the card, there was a top. It was a long sleeved pink and white stripes top from Abercrombie and Fitch. I wonder if it is cheaper there. I really don't want him to spend alot. The top fits me nicely, will definitely find a chance to wear to work to 'show-off'. Haha! Actually the content in the parcel wasn't the most important thing, it was the thought and effort he put in (the card, selecting the top, making a trip to the post office) to send me something for my birthday. So sweet of him to remember and for wanting to make my birthday a special one. Really miss him alot. Every once in a while, I will wish that he will be back here in Singapore but alas.

6 March
Met DK, my close little friend who knows alot of my recent happenings, to pass her her birthday gift. Her birthday falls on the 9th. Didn't expect her to get something for me. Was pleasantly surprised when she passed me one alongside a birthday card. She didn't allow me to read it there and then. When I got home, I read her card. She wishes me a Happy 18th Birthday! Haha! She knows me so well! She wanted to put in a poem she wrote herself but found it too mushy so decided not to include it. Would love to see though.

It was a great BirthWeek(?), received surprises everyday and all those days I received well-wishes from people very dear in my heart. So blessed to have all of you...

(PS. will put in pictures when I am free)

Same Old Brand New Me

Haiz...my life like keep revolving around the same guys!
My posts are either about Kelvin, Kang, K, Tim, JJ or the guy with the cap!!!
They are nice people and friends but then...
Me NO life man!
When will a new Male name appear in my blog?
I think the answer is a NEVER...

I Just Call to Say....

Received a call today...was busy with something so didnt hurry to answer it...
When I finally took out my handphone...it displayed 'private number'...
I was thinking to myself, 'Oh no, not a call from my boss again...its a weekend!'...
The moment I said 'Hello'...I heard a familiar voice coming from the other end!!!
I couldn't believe my ear!...I asked him so as to reconfirm my guess...IT IS HIM!!!! And all the way from USA!!!
(He actually sms-ed me from Bali about a month ago to inform me that he will be going to US for a year.)
I know that he is not from a well-to-do family...I was wondering how he can afford to make a long-distance call to me...so I asked him if he called me via phone...don't want to waste his money...then he told me that he used the internet to call me...Phew...
He updated me about his life there...doing internship in a hotel for a year...rented an apartment with four other guys, one from Africa and the rest I couldn't remember...job easier there but standard of living very high...then I told him to take some pictures of New Jersey to show me...he sounded confused then told me he is in Washington DC...so embarrasing...
We chatted for quite a while...told me it was 12+am in USA...I finally found the guts to ask him about his TW girlfriend...Wasn't sure what his answer was but I think they are still together...haiz...hehe...
I told a friend about him calling me and she said maybe out of 10 calls to his girlfriend, he would draw lots to see who he would call next...so mean of her to say that...but I believed that K called me because he is in a foreign country now, just like he was here in Singapore last year and I was the nicest Singaporean to him...I guess that was why he thought of me...
But whatever the reason it is, I am very happy to receive his call...it is good to talk to him again and to listen his voice and his accent...and when he laughed, I remembered his cute smile...
Hope that we will continue to keep in contact...and the next time I were to visit his country or he visits mine, we will have a get-together again...

Unbelievable...

My 'friend' is 'crowned' Mr Singapore!!!
Gosh...I know he has ever told me about taking part in Manhunt but I never expect him to actually win a title...
What an achievement!!!
Love his write-up...not pretentious at all...
Here's how it goes :

"He impressed the panel of international celebrity judges with his good looks, physique and presentation during the pageant held in the Braddell Heights Auditorium.
J's career ambition is to become a solicitor. Although he could not get into the National University of Singapore (NUS) Law Faculty, he never gave up. Instead, he took a longer and tedious route to realize his plans and is currently reading Law at University of London, and hopes to matriculate into NUS for his Masters in Law. A “never give up” attitude best describes his personality. J adopts the 3 Ds of his life: discipline, determination and desire in everything that he does.
J loves all kinds of sports, especially basketball, which is his childhood favorite. He sometimes cycles from one end of Singapore to the next with his friends, and would usually end his day either by running or at the gym."

I am proud of him as he won it by staying true to himself...
He really IS a very determined n disciplined guy...
As for the basketball thingy...it is TRUE!!!...I used to watch him play and we read the Slamdunk comics together and he was our very own 樱木花道...haha...coz at that time his personality was very much like him...
What a change....
Congrats!!!

NE Show 2008

The weather was foreboding this afternoon, looking as though it would be pouring.
It did pour but we were lucky, when we met at 4pm, the sky was clear. In fact, the weather was great!

When we were making our way to our green sector seats, suddenly a Malay man stopped us and asked if we were a couple!? I shook my head and answered very quickly No, thinking that he was trying to interview us or to get us to play some games. Actually he was asking whether only the two of us were watching the parade coz he had 2 yellow sector tix and 2 green sector tix and he would like to swop tix with us. Haha!!! What a misunderstanding! Kelvin said that I was very lucky to be paired up with him, a 21 year old guy. Inside my heart, I was thinking poor Kelvin, had to pair up with an auntie again this year (last year, Mr and Mrs Hong thought that Kelvin, Boon, Sally and I were dating couples, haha!). Anyway, we were very lucky, the yellow sector is right infront of the main stage! We got a very good view of everything from where we were seated.

I didn't like the funpack this year, not very user-friendly. And this is the forst time I see people discarding the bag, so sad. I miss the fan, they did not include one in the funback. We were also not given instructions as to when to use the items in the funback. What a letdown.

The choir is back! Brings back the old flavour to the parade. Love the photos they screened while the choir was singing. Very well-taken.

The best part of this year's NDP must be the aerial display by the Black Knights. The moves they made were graceful and the stunts heart-stopping! So dangerous! And we caught sight of Zoe and her son, Braydon! They must be there to watch her husband's performance, he is one of the pilots. Zoe is very pretty and her son is so cute!

The fireworks as usual was beautiful but I find it not fanciful enough. Maybe it would be nicer on the actual day but I love the picture we took with the fireworks as our backdrop.

On the whole, even though there was a number of hiccups, the show was great. I thought the perfomers for the mass display were fantastic, could'nt say the same for the hosts though.

Anyway it was always fun to watch the parade with Kelvin, hope that we can do it again next year!

Singapore, I Love You!

I Miss You...

If I was granted just one wish
I know what it would be...
For the only thing I long for
is to have You here with me...

Still missing you, Kang...
